December Member of the Month - Grace Sweeney

We want to give a HUGE shout out to Grace Sweeney, one of our December Members of the Month! Grace has been a huge help all year long. Grace has used her background in social media to help our marketing team as well as initially solicited Kmart and Sears Holding for a corporate sponsorship. This turned into potentially getting a portion of our mixers donated! Hopefully a donation of Coke Products will be pushed over the line this week! Finally she has been a phenomenal addition to our Thursday night dodgeball team! Thank you so much for all your hard work, Grace!!!

December Member of the Month - Meghan Bartlett

Congratulations to one of our December Members of the Month, Megan Bartlett. Megan joined Junior Council in September and has been a huge help for our Snowball 2015 auction! Megan has gotten the following auction items: 

• 4 Tickets to University of Illinois Football at the 50 yard line and parking pass
• 4 Tickets to University of Illinois Basketball and parking pass
• 6 White Sox Tickets and 2 Parking Passes

In addition to that she has been able to get the lemons and limes donated to Snowball! Thank you Megan for all your hard work! You’re a rock star! 

The Junior Council’s 27th annual Snowball

The Junior Council’s 27th annual Snowball will take place Saturday, February 7th 2015 from 8PM – 1AM at the Great Hall of Historic Union Station, benefiting the Pediatric and Adolescent HIV/AIDS Programs at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

November Member of the Month - Sam Rice

Congratulations to one of our November Member of the Month, Sam Rice! Sam has really stepped up for Snowball 2015 and has secured a $1,000 donation from her company, KPMG! She has been a very helpful member since she joined Junior Council! We are so glad to have Sam as a member of JC. Keep up the great work!

November Member of the Month - Susan Parsons

Congratulations to one of our November Members of the Month, Susan Parsons. Susan has secured a $500 donation from her company, Ogilvy and Mather, and continues to be an active contributor to the Corporate Partnership Committee. Great job and thanks for all the hard work, Susan! 

Member of the Month - Gen Matthews

Congratulations to our 2nd October Member of the Month, Gen Matthews. Gen did a great job during our canvas event for Snowball. She also is applying to the mentor program. Not only does Gen regularly attends meetings and social events, but she really stepped up her game this month. Thanks for all your hard work, Gen! 

October Member of the Month - Natalie Wilbeck

We want to give a HUGE shout out to Natalie Wilbeck, one of our October Members of the Month! This is Natalie's first year as a member of Junior Council and she has already been super involved. Natalie is the first member to secure a silver sponsorship from Wells Fargo for Snowball 2015. She also was able to connect us with Home Run Inn Pizza. They will be donating individual pizzas as our late night snack at Snowball. Thank you for all your hard work, Natalie!!!

September Member of the Month - Rowsha Labranche

Congrats to one of our September Member of the Month, Rowsha Labranche! Rowsha has been very involved in Junior Council. Not only does Rowsha regularly attends meetings and social events, but she really stepped up her game with being a great mentor. Rowsha also came out and cooked with us at the Ronald McDonald House and won the best apron contest! Thanks for all of your hard work! 

August Member of the Month - Todd Shamlin

Congratulations to our August Member of the Month, Todd Shamlin! Todd has been a very active member of the Junior Council, attending recent meetings, volleyball and our corporate sponsor night. We look forward to his continued involvement in all Junior Council activities. 

July Member of the Month - Megan Reidy

Congratulations to our July Member of the Month, Megan Reidy! Megan has been a regular member of the Junior Council, attending Snowball and many other social events for two years. She was extremely helpful with the auction last year and has recently become one of our mentors. We look forward to her continued involvement in all Junior Council activities.  

June Member of the Month - Derrick Hengstebeck

Congrats to our June Member of the Month, Derrick Hengstebeck! Derrick has been a regular member of the Junior Council, attending many of our social events and he was a huge setting up for Snowball. Recently, Derrick brought 4 friends to our May Soiree and all 4 of them signed up to be new members! Great job Derrick and keep up the great work! 

May Members of the Month - Brittany Caplin & Bridget Supplitt

Congratulations to Brittany Caplin and Bridget Supplitt for being our May Members of the month! They were both tremendously helpful around Snowball with the marketing committee. They helped write several press releases both before and after the event and reached out to numerous marketing outlets. They have been very involved with the council - coming to meetings as well as social events.

April Member of the Month - Kelsey Wallace

Congrats to one of our April Members of the Month,Kelsey Wallace! Kelsey has an amazing background in event planning and has been working closely with our executive board on putting together a networking event for some of our previous sponsors and potential sponsors. She was also a great help with snowball planning in soliciting donations from different companies! Thanks for all your hard work, Kelsey!!!

April Member of the Month - Hank Bell

Great job to Hank Bell, one of our April Members of the Month! Hank has been a very active member of the Junior Council throughout the entire year. He has always been very helpful whenever needed. He especially stepped up recently, this year by locking in a few new corporate sponsorships for Snowball. We are so glad to have Hank as a member of the JC! Keep up the great work!
